A Chrome browser extension that can keep track of the tweets that the users like, and pop a random tweet to every new browser tab they open.

40% of what we read is forgotten within 30 minutes and 90% is forgotten within a month. Repetition is effective! The extension acts as an effective tool to reinforce positive emotions and learnings.

The application is currently capable of showing tweets with pictures but not video content.

How does it work ?

The solution involves two components, a chrome browser extension and a backend server. Once new user signups to the service using their twitter account, the backend server will use a job scheduler to synchronise the tweets liked by the user to a local database using Twitter APIs. And every time the user opens a new browser tab, the chrome extension will fetch and show a random tweet liked by the user.

The application comes with an admin site to keep track of new signups, tweet synchronisation jobs and also has an ability to disable inactive users.

The application is currently deployed in AWS and the deployment has been automated with docker containers.

How can the buyer take this project further?

The application is currently being used by my friends and acquaintance. I was not able to scale the user base due to lack of sales and marketing skills. A buyer with a good sales and marketing skills can work towards scaling the user base and work towards monetising
